The C.I.A. Community Cooperative – Culture Innovation Environment
We were born in 2019 from the need to “Do something FOR the community WITH the participation of the community” in a medieval village in the Tuscan-Romagnolo Apennines.
Palazzuolo sul Senio and its thousand inhabitants: a small gem that encompasses history, nature, and authenticity. Community cooperatives are a model of social innovation and resilient economy for the enhancement and development of a territory at risk of depopulation.
It all began when a former abandoned newsstand, right in the center of the village, got a second chance and was reinvented as a mini contemporary art gallery, now known as E50035, with the motto “Expect the unexpected.” Then we continued and expanded the dream by developing ideas, projects, and tangible initiatives that range from new itineraries and tourist packages to e-bike rentals and short eco-friendly tours, educational workshops, and cultural events. We collaborate and collaborate with existing entities in the territory, and currently, we also manage the tourist office and the municipal library… and we continue to dream!
We like to take things seriously without taking ourselves too seriously! We love our territory and are aware of its traditions, striving to enhance its uniqueness while also looking forward.
